What we covered on Sunday, Feb 19

Last week, we covered the following:

Capturing a Screen to paste into a program like Microsoft Word,
Formatting a floppy disk in Windows and in DOS
Creating a folder, copying and moving files from one folder to another in Windows
Deleting a file
Navingating through Folders and sorting files by Name, Type, Date Modified

This is covered by pages 12-35 in the back of the book, in the first with the red stripe on the bottom with the text "Getting Started With Windows XP"

You might want to run through the exercises.

For excercise 2, there are files to download off of the book publisher's website, and instructions for doing this on page 21 in the book.

We will return to "Getting Started With Windows XP," but we started learning Microsoft Word. We spoke a bit about Word in general. Then, in chapter 1 of the book (with the strip of blue on the bottom), we worked through the first and second exercise . The exercises are on pages 10-23 in the book. I ended by speaking a bit about spell checking and grammar checking, so read until page 25.
